Riviera Maya Resort Reopens Rooms and Spa Following Damage Sustained
by Hurricane Emily, and Announces New Restaurant
Miami, FL, October 7, 2005 – Palace Resorts is pleased to announce that the north section of Aventura Spa Palace officially reopened its doors. The all-inclusive, “adults-only” Riviera Maya resort had been closed since the end of July, following damages sustained from Hurricane Emily.
“While Hurricane Emily was certainly not a welcomed guest, we are happy that the repair project is moving forward swiftly and according to plan,” said Maira Briceno, Director of Marketing for Palace Resorts. “It is our pleasure to welcome visitors back to Aventura Spa Palace for an unforgettable vacation experience.”
The north section of Aventura Spa Palace features more than 800 of the oceanfront property’s 1,266 rooms as well as the resort’s namesake, the state-of-the-art spa. Here, guests can luxuriate in unparalleled pampering from the resort’s trained spa staff and indulge their fantasies with a host of signature treatments including aromatherapy massages, sea marine facials, salt body scrubs and deluxe foot treatments, among numerous other pleasures to soothe and revitalize the senses. The north section also houses such amenities as the tranquil yoga temple, the exotic meditation pond, the semi-Olympic, free-form and indoor pools, the Zen walking labyrinth, fitness center, a host of boutiques as well as numerous other services.
In addition to the reopening of the spa and rooms, Aventura Spa Palace also opened four of its restaurants including the new La Trattoria. This new casually elegant restaurant features minimalist décor that is designed to accentuate the deliciously authentic Italian cuisine that is served a la carte. La Trattoria is just one of the numerous options in fine dining that is available throughout the property.
The remaining south section of the Aventura Spa Palace will be fully operational in November.
